General Requirements

1.1 Graduate Assistant

1.1.1 Candidate possessing a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) in relevant discipline plus NYSC Certificate.

1.2 Assistant Lecturer

1.2.1 Candidate possessing a good Bachelor’s Degree (minimum of Second Class Lower Division) plus PGD in relevant discipline with NYSC certificate and at least three years cognate experience.

1.3 Lecturer III

1.3.1 Candidate possessing relevant Master’s Degree with at least three years cognate experience plus at least one conference/seminar papers.

1.4 Lecturer II

1.4.1 Candidate possessing relevant Master’s Degree plus at least six years teaching/research or industrial work experience with three conference papers and one journal publication or a doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three journal publications and three conference/seminar papers.

1.5 Lecturer I

1.5.1 Candidate possessing relevant Master’s Degree plus at least twelve years teaching/research or industrial work experience and four journals accepted for publication plus five conference/seminar papers or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus three years teaching/research or industrial work experience plus two journal publications and three conference/seminar papers.

1.6 Senior Lecturer

1.6.1 Candidate possessing relevant Master’s Degree with at least fifteen years teaching/research or industrial work experience. Such a candidate must have published a total of seven conference/seminar papers, six journal articles accepted for publication, or contribution of two chapters in a standard textbook(s).

1.7 Principal Lecturer

1.7.1 Candidate possessing relevant Master’s degree plus at least eighteen years teaching/research or industrial working experience. Such a candidate must have published a total of 10 conference/seminar papers, nine journal articles accepted for publication or contribution of two chapters in a standard textbook or a candidate possessing a Doctorate degree with at least 12 years cognate experience and must have a total of nine conference papers and 10 journal articles accepted for publications or four chapters contribution in a standard textbooks.

1.8 Chief Lecturer

1.8.1 Candidate must be a holder of a Doctorate Degree in the relevant field(s) from a recognized institution with at least 15 years of teaching/applied research/industrial work experience. The candidate must have a total of 13 conference/seminar papers and 12 journal articles and or nine meaningful chapters contribution in a standard textbook or two standard textbooks.

Additional Requirements

• MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING/X-RAY TECHNICIAN DEPARTMENT must be a holder of Bachelor of Radiography (B.Rad) and registered member of Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE DEPARTMENT must be a holder bachelor of medical laboratory science (BMLS) and registered member of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH SCIENCE must be registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• DENTAL HEALTH SCIENCE must be a registered member of Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• NUTRITION AND DIETETICS must be a registered member of IDN with a current practicing license.
• PHARMACY TECHNICIAN PROGRAMME must be a registered Pharmacist member of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT must be a registered member of Health Records Officers Registration Board Of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• COMMUNITY HEALTH must be a registered member of the Community Health Registration Board Of Nigeria with a current practicing license.
• HEALTH EDUCATION AND PROMOTION must have an MSc in Health Education and Promotion.
• PUBLIC HEALTH must be registered with the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria with a current practicing license or hold an MSc in Public Health.
